Every person is different. Every person has a unique way to learn. Every person has a different flow to grasp a concept. Hence, every person needs a different way a teacher teaches. In short, every person needs a book written in a way she understands.
In this small snippet, we are recommending 4 different styles of writing a Statistics book, see for yourself which style matches best for you.
A. Naked Statistics by Charles Wheelan, this book is written by a Journalist, creates a simpler perspective around the concept. This book doesn't use any mathematical notation or equation, rather knits simple stories to explain the statistics concepts.
B. Introduction to the theory of Statistics goes in every details, shows every mathematical derivation, explains the theory and the best part it doesn't expects any preliminary knowledge of the topic from the reader. A very good book for you, if you want to dive into the core and the math behind every explanation.

C. The art of Statistics, another which is quite similar to Naked statistics mentioned above.
This covers take a small dataset, explain it in the form of a story. Again not much math, rather lucidly explained the concepts of statistics.
D. Statistics, 4th edition by David Freedman. If you are like me, I definitely want a text book style book, where each concept is explained, a couple of solved example is shown, then review exercises are present and at the back of the book there are solution. Wow, I definitely like this style when I am studying something new.
I hope this 4 books will be your best friend in learning Statistics for Data science career.
